Torino Airport implements measures aimed at reducing the environmental impacts of airport activities under its direct control and promotes the involvement of employees, the airport community, commercial partners, suppliers and passengers.
At the same time, it takes part in national and international programmes and initiatives focused on the decarbonisation and sustainability of the airport sector.
In 2019, Torino Airport joined ACI Europe’s Net Zero commitment and, in 2024, brought forward to 2040 its target of achieving net zero for emissions from airport activities under Torino Airport’s direct control. This pathway is defined through a Decarbonisation Roadmap, which sets out the measures and progressive targets planned to reduce emissions.
Since 2024, Torino Airport has also been accredited at Level 3+ “Neutrality” of ACI Europe’s Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme, as part of the monitoring, reduction and management of emissions required by the programme.
In 2022, SAGAT also signed the Toulouse Declaration, as part of the shared commitment of the European aviation sector towards decarbonisation.
